Financial Assistance Program
for Renal Transplant Patients for Intercurrent Hospital Admissions
The Need
Renal Transplant Patients undergoing hospitalisations and have higher risk of serious complications and mortality. Decreasing their financial burden goes a long way in giving every patient the fighting chance he or she deserves.
Eligibility
Hospitals to refer financially needy, renal transplant patients admitted for intercurrent illness. I-SHARE Foundation will disburse upto Rs 50,000/- towards the hospital bills
Benefactors
I-SHARE Foundation has received a grant from Bellwether Capital, Mumbai to run this financial aid program.
I-SHARE invites individual donors and CSR projects to collaborate.

WHO WE ARE
An Effort to Bridge Gaps in HealthCare
I-SHARE Foundation is a Pune-based not-for-profit organization formed with a mission to Innovate Solutions for Healthcare Access Research and Education. It was formed by three friends - Dr. Nikhil Phadke (Molecular Geneticist), Dr. Pranjali Gadgil (Breast Cancer Surgeon) and Dr. Meetali Kolhatkar Bidaye (Nephrologist) We aim to bridge gaps in the Indian healthcare system in the areas of (i) Access to healthcare and allied resources for needy patients (ii) Targeted translational research in healthcare, and (iii) Education and awareness about healthcare and recent advances for doctors, patients, students, policy-makers and the general public. We hope break down silos between areas in medicine, science and technology to enable a truly cross-disciplinary approach to healthcare.
WHAT WE DO
HEALTHCARE ACCESS
We partner with healthcare providers, institutions and industry to make preventive health, diagnostic care, and medical treatment accessible to those that need it most.
RESEARCH
We enable collaborations between educational institutions, scientists and funding agencies to facilitate high quality research. Our goals is to better understand health concerns relevant to our population and develop affordable diagnostic and treatment solutions for the same.
EDUCATION
We develop educational content, develop educational programs and conduct events to promote healthcare education at all levels- the community, healthcare providers, and students of science and healthcare.
OUR RECENT PROJECTS
Cervical Cancer and HPV Project
I-SHARE Foundation enabled by a CSR Grant from Gharda Chemicals screened 4000 women in and around Pune city, for HPV. The project was conducted in collaboration with our NGO Partner Prayas Foundation.
Breast Cancer Rehabilitation
I-SHARE Foundation enabled 100 breast cancer patients to obtain post-surgical care kits. This was anabled by a grant from teachers and founders of Dr Kalmadi Shamarao High School.
Subsidised Diagnostics Program
In partnership with Genepath Dx we subsidised advanced diagnostic molecular testing for almost 100 patients. The subsidy was enabled by a CSR grant from Gharda Chemicals
Kidney Screening Camp
In partnership with Bidaye hospital, I-SHARE foundation screened women for early diagnosis of hypertension, diabetes and kidney problems on occasion of world kidney day. The screening was done at no cost to patients
